Introductions!

Travelling cheap isn’t glamorous. When I tell my friends what I do to get from one place to the next, or the nights I spend sleeping in airports, I’m pretty sure they are rethinking our friendship. But every time someone came with me on a trip, I made sure to tell them all about all the details and the 8-hour overnight FlixBus.

However, my mentality is that if you get there in the most cost-effective way possible, you have more money to spend on souvenirs. My roommate would disagree. If he sees me coming home with one more tote bag, I think he will pack his bags and move out. Some might call it an addiction, but I think it’s a cute way to remember the city you were in and all the museums from the city you were in and of course, that random library where the tote bag had something about dinosaurs written in Catalan on it. To this day, I still don’t know what it means.

Hotels are also not a big priority for me, of course, I look at reviews on Booking and research the area to make sure it is safe. Since I came to college, where I am surrounded by way more international people, it has become easier to just find someone who knows or lives in that specific city and ask for details. Of course I am sure that not everyone has access to a lot of international people and reviews will only ge you so far, so if you are ever thinking about travelling to one of the cities I’ve been to or will go to be sure that you will find on this blog all the information you need to make your travel easier.

Another very important point to mention is that my travel companion, let’s call her Sara, wants a private bathroom, and honestly, after sharing in ski camp a bathroom with 6 other people for the past 8 years of my life, I learned that your own bathroom can really make or break the trip.

So all the accommodations I stayed at had a private bathroom, so I guess my travelling isn’t so much in the trenches after all, but of course, you will be the judge of that after you go through a few of my stories.

Welcome to my blog, where you will follow along and hopefully go way more prepared than me to random cities in Europe and around the world!
